Carol Hannah was in the final on the 6th season of Project Runway. She didn't win, but she stood as one of the most talented contestants of the famous TV show, presented by Heidi Klum.
Her very own style - romantic, simple and feminine - brought her to this bridal collection with amazing gowns and dresses to the most special day in a woman's life. Also, you can see some dresses for the bridesmaids that compose a very special Bridal collection that effases romance and feminine lines.

The summer is still high, but we started looking to the collections of fall/ winter 2011-2012. There are so many designers that show us the amazing collections with fabulous details and incredible outfit.

Karan create the company Donna Karan in 1984 with her late husband Stephan Weiss. For Donna Karan, "...designing is an expression of felling and emotions". This designer show us a collection to a cosmopolitan women, showing trough her clothes the energy and spirit of New York.

The public of the designer is a creative person who never knows where a day is going take them. She tries to mach the needs of people in all the situations, from work to weekend!

To Karan, DKNY is what Karan calls "The pizza to Collection's caviar". After that, it isn't to frighten when we see the collection to fall 2011 - is a reflection of the designer thought.

The collection with the name New York Moods start with a little note of men's wear and a vein of luxury. So, the first outfits of the runway was defined by color blocked tailoring, mixing up with motorcycle jackets and peter pan colar. The main colors were the black and white.

After this, we can see the color blocking back to the runways. Yes ladies, the color blocking continues to the next season. DK choose the red and pink, balanced by beige and black.

Another color that has continued, was the camel mixed with blue. The mixed colors was obtained in different ways: tweed, stripes and color-block.

Do you remember when we saw the fashion people before the fashion show? When we try discovering inspiration on street style? Well, it was what I think when I saw, for the first time, this collection. In my opinion, Donna Karan shows us the best way to match the clothes in our real life, but on a runway.

For Fall, Mendel worked tailoring allong with the inspiration of his father's aboriginal art collection. The colection turned out very elegant, luxury, with 80's cut in some cases, but the gowns weren't forgotten and the beading turn them great pieces. The boots are his own concept also and we can tell you that our Fall will be very brighter and shining.

Here in The Morning Magazine we like to keep you informed about all the fashion shows in the world. At this moment we’re focus on Amsterdam International Fashion Week (now you say – reallyyy???); this fashion week is full of brilliant designers and (believe in me)it was difficult to choose the best designer to show you.

If the first day are good (as you can see in Spijkers and Spijkers and Tony Cohen), the second day was even better, with the presence of Pauline van Dougen. For the designer it was the first time in AIFW, but that was no impediment to anything.

Paulina’s collection – “Kinetic Landscapes” – was a little different that all the others. The main characteristic of this collection, was the graphic lines and surprising shapes, that appears in the dresses or skirts. This attributes become the clothes sculptural, but at the same time minimalistic and wearable.

“For this collection Pauline was inspired by the powerful force of water and air, that both can make big changes to different landscapes”. An excellent example of a designer, that loves intellectual explanations.

Was it the last time that we heard of Pauline’s name??

“Welcome to year 3012”

Imagine when you're a child and think how will be the world in year 3012. We think that everything will be tecnologic, we will not need paper or move to much to get what we want. But...and the clothes? How will be the clothes? I imagine shine and minimalist clothes, without drapped and laces.

This is what i thought, when i saw for the first time the collection made by An Vandevorst and Filip Arickx - A.F.Vandevorst. These designers show us futuristic clothes in spring / summer 2011 collection.

Everything was monocrome: gold, silver and white. The best colors to use in this season.

Key pieces included jackets, blouses, chunky jumpsuits and scarf tops. The dresses are fluid in opposition of militar jackets. As it's normal in all collections of this season the carrot pants predominate in the runway.

In my case, I didn't know the two designers and was a surprise. It's very ready-to-wear and at the same time very classic.

Hope you like this collection girls!

Also on the first day, one more designer presented a collection: Tony Cohen. This designer is known by using soft colors and draped, but in this time he used colors and materials a little different. In spite of being different, was no less interesting and attractive.

In AIFW, Tony Cohen (TC) use mainly silk chiffon, but some looks were more edgy than usual. TC combined sweat and soft, with dark an rough with masterfully, if you don’t belived, you can see in the next images!

The principal colors that we can see during the show were the petrol green, silver and fuchsia. The white and beige were used like complementary colors. The black, comes in the form of leather that was the surprise material in the show.

The mark of Tony Cohen is the draped and this show was no exception, the majority of dresses had this characteristic. The carrots pants predominate as well as the fluid shirts.

When I saw the show, I remember the times that we’ve to move the August fresh clothes to September warm clothes. The designer starts to present with fresh clothes, with light colors and finish with heavier materials and dark colors.   In my opinion, this passage was very gradual and successful, which is not always easy to do.

For me it's an inspiration for the days that i don't know what to dress due the weather.

Hope you like the collection!

During these days, has been running the Fashion Week DOWNTOWN – Amsterdam International Fashion Week public program.

“Everyone with original, interesting or surprising ideas can participate in Fashion Week DOWNTOWN”.

For the people that don’t know what we are talking, during the editions of these events, a variety of shows, exhibitions, films and parties take place in museums, shops, galleries and clubs local to Amsterdam. People can enjoy nine days, with lots of trends, stories and pretty people.

Here in The Morning Magazine, we don’t like lost nothing about the runways, so we want to show you what are happening in the world!
Let’s go girls!!

The first designers that you decided show you are de Spijkers en Spijkers. In spite of being their second line, they were able to show us a well-structured collection, which bring us to the summer of twenties.

Spijkers en Spijkers show us a funny, prettiest and vacationer collection. They remember us that the summer is here, with different colors, shapes and stripes.

The principal colors, that the designers used in their second collection was the different kind of roses, red, pistachio, amber and nautical blue. These colors are conjugated with black and white.

The main patterns that we saw in this show are the stripes, in different ways: large, strait, zig-zag; that will provoke a vintage style in the different pieces.

The summer was also reminded through the jumpsuits, shorts, skirts, the hats and old school bothing-caps.

I think that in the end, the collection are really cool and useable; we can say that the Fashion Week DOWNTOWN open with the best way!
